The Staff of Local 747 would like to thank all of the active members and retirees who participated in the Informational Picket at City Hall December 14, 2006. Total count on the picket line was over 150 members.

There were also members and retirees at the union office getting food and refreshments ready for the first day of our annual OPEN HOUSE. If you didn't make it there today please join us Friday December 15th for the second day of the OPEN HOUSE LOCAL 747 from noon until 5pm. Family and friends are welcome.

President Newton and the entire staff of Local 747 wishes to thank all who participated and helped in any way with the picket being a successful event.
Everyone was very professional as expected and we certainly accomplished the task at hand. Informing the public.

The members of this local who took the time to come join us that were either on vacation, R-Days, retired, etc. should be congratulated as well. Family, friends and members of five other different locals were also there in support of us.
This organization is planning more events in the future which will be scheduled and planned out as this one was. We will make every attempt to give you plenty of advanced notice.
Keep informed by staying involved and dedicated as we were at Thursday's picket.
The OPEN HOUSE afterwards was a great success too! We also would like to thank those members both active and retired for helping to make both days of the OPEN HOUSE a fun and enjoyable time.
