St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters Local 747 took to the streets in May to Fill-the-Boot for MDA. For the first time these local heroes were able to go out on duty and in uniform to show their support and represent our local families. Both on duty and off duty firefighters spent 3 consecutive Saturdays on the streets raising an amazing $27,000! The money they raised will help fight Muscular Dystrophy by providing funding for research, summer camp, clinic evaluations, wheelchairs and much much more. But the support that St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters show to MDA does not stop there! The Annual MDA Summer Camp, which was held June 2 - June 8, 2007, had a special treat again this year when the St. Petersburg firefighters came out and cooked dinner for all the campers and counselors. The delicious spaghetti and meatballs dinner was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
